Just when you thought that oh Huimei is finally back. She’s here to tell you that she would be gone, away on a hiatus. School’s driving me crazy, with 6 projects due in the next 2 weeks. And examination right after that. I will be back most probably in mid-September. Till then, take care. And wish me luck.
Ahh. So, I’m back. Last week was great, really great. I refused to do any school work. I skipped a few lessons. I played online games all day long. I thought that it’s time I take a little break from school. So I did. And I felt so much better this week. I’m starting to get the mood to finish up my projects. It just proves how much a little break away from School do wonders.
Last Tuesday was Singapore’s 40th birthday. And being a small country that we are, there’s lots of celebration island wide. I was told that I’m fortunate as National Days for most countries is just another public holiday. And I actually got myself rewarded with 2 tickets to the National Day Parade. I got my camera ready, my batteries charged. And guess what? I forgot to bring along my camera but brought the batteries instead. How muddle headed could I be? So, no pictures. In addition to that 2 tickets, I got myself 100 bucks from winning the competition. Yay! Now that I doesn’t have to worry about not having enough money when my domain and hosting expires. *jumps around*
On another note, it’s already the 12th week of school. Just 4 more weeks and that would mark the end of the semester. Of which, examinations would starting rolling in the week after that. How time flies. And exactly a month from now, the musical (Snow Wolf Lake) that I’m longing for would be staged in Singapore. Gahh.
Yay! I’m finally back. School had kept me busy for the past 2 weeks. Well, not exactly busy. But I just have this phobia- too afraid to type. It seems that I’ve been constantly coding, be it for tests or projects that I grew to hate the keyboard, at least for that past 2 weeks. Hah. I’m glad that everything is over now. And that I’ve finally managed to catch my breath. Yes, I felt as though I haven’t breathe for weeks. That’s just shows how hectic life is.
Anyway, I was ironing the clothes for my younger sister. And it sure reminds me of those good old days when I was a Girl Guide. Those days where I had to constantly iron my uniform every week for meetings, special days and stuffs like that. Eww. I sure miss those good old days. And it definitely reminds me of how sucky life is these days. Take this incident for an example. We had this lab test weeks ago and apparently majority of my classmates doesn’t know how to prepare for it. We were given clues/ tips by the lab tutor on what to research on but they just couldn’t find the codes anywhere on the internet. I happened to figure them out thus I give them the codes the day before the test, so that they could read through them and understand every single piece of code. So it was well-assumed that everyone of us got the same codes. And viola, it came out exactly the same. One of my classmates whom I gave the codes to got a Very Good and me, just Good. Her program works the way the question specified, so does mine. Thus I wasn’t really able to explain the difference in grading. I couldn’t bothered to ask why. Or be such a loser to ask. But still I don’t get it. I guess teachers dislike me a lot. I never ever ask any questions during lesson time. And I’m always one of the few to leave the class as soon as the lesson’s over. But, I don’t find anything wrong with that. Hmm, never mind.
On another note, remember the time I said I was playing with Flash? I actually designed an e-Card and sent it in for some competition. And guess what? I won! After all, it was only my 1st attempt experimenting with Flash. What a great encouragement! You can view my work here. Mine is Card E, just click on the image and the Flash would pops up. *smile* It’s kind of silly actually because such stuffs could be easily done with animated gif. Personally, I like Card A and J a lot. Hehe.
Before I go, I do have a burning question to ask. I’m still in the process of revamping Forgotten Shadows. So I actually like to know how you guys feel about my current layout. Cause, I’m thinking of doing more of similar layouts like this current one and put them up as themes. What’s your say? Good idea or bad? I need your honest opinion, seriously.
