Happy, really happy

After weeks of preparation, the new season of Reading Stars was back again. I had a good night with the kids and the volunteers. It’s such a nice feeling being able to see my little girl again. She’s still as naughty but nothing beats the satisfaction I had when I did the Pre-test with her.

I remembered that when she first came in last season, she couldn’t recognise a lot of words. She scores an average of 5/10. But this time round, she could recognise most of the words, scoring an average of 8/10. That’s a big WOW for me. Honestly, I’m impressed and proud of my girl. I foresee that the future weeks would be lots of fun. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get to take her for Guided Reading again, since this time round I’ll be involved in the facilitating of the sessions.

Next Friday would be my very first time facilitating, and I would be the main facilitator for the night. I’m praying hard that the session would turn out fine and the kids would like the activities that I had planned. The last time I ever stand in front of a group, facilitating, was more than two years ago. Gahhh, and this time round, the audiences would be little kids. God, please let me get through this smoothly!

On a side note, next week would be my last week of work! I can’t wait. It had been quite an experience, not on the job itself, but on office politics. It’s kind of chaotic actually, thus I don’t wish to stay on any longer. Then again, there are some really nice people around; my boss who really nice to me, helpful colleagues, and that cute guy on the bus. Hah.

I’m not sure if I’ll get to rest, since there are still a lot of unchecked items on my to-do list. Adding on, I have new commitments, new responsibilities. Honestly, it’s such a nice feeling being able to be in the committee. I doubt getting into that competition would be able to make me this happy.

Oh, did I mention that I’ll be meeting with my lunch buddy soon? Gahh, lunch buddy said he would tag along the next time I decide to drop by our old school for a surprise visit. Hopefully, we’ll get to catch up with two of our really nice friends too. :D

I can’t be any happier. Life’s just so so so good. What more can I ask for?
